Prototyping the Arduino Workshop
We’ve been spending the past few weeks trying to figure out the best way to deliver an Arduino workshop to everyone. The power of Arduino is amazing but it is certainly also intimidating to someone without a background in engineering. As strong advocates of project based learning we wanted to build a workshop where people can take home what they built and use it in their every day lives. Our answer at the moment is an Arduino controlled lamp!
Borrowing ideas from the Internet we worked tirelessly with Danny (our resident engineering guru) and Opal Doily (our resident jewellery maker) to put together something beautiful and functional. This lamp can be sensor controlled, but the sensors you use are purely up to you. Perhaps you want it to react to loud sounds? Activate when the room gets dark? Or get brighter the closer you to stand to it?
More to come as we finalize this workshop, I hope you’re as excited as we are!
